2024 Pontian Youth Convention

This year, the Pan-Pontian Youth Federation of USA and Canada celebrates 15 years of existence. The Cleveland Pontian Society Chapter is excited to host for the first time ever the annual Youth Convention for this milestone 15th year anniversary. The event will take place over the course of the weekend of June 21-23, 2024 with over 200 youth from our regional chapters across the globe representing the Greek Pontian Diaspora, which is alive and well! We will have social gathering, food all weekend long, live entertainment, workshops teaching Pontian Greek conversation and dialect, soccer tournament wrapped around the history of the origin of professional soccer leagues of PAOK, AEK, and Kalamaria, Thessaloniki- all of Pontian origin, culminating in youth dance performances from all the regions of Pontos performed by the various cultural dance groups from the USA and Canada. We continue these efforts in the spirit that we “never forget” the Genocide of the Greeks and that we hold to the promises made to our grandparents and great-grandparents to prosper and share their stories by keeping their memories alive through tradition and culture.
